Keeping in your rods, or flexi-rods, or twists in for longer than that Okay, they're dry†moment usually sets the hair and curls better and elongates the duration of your hold (P.S. heatless drying).
If you have thick hair it might take longer time for it to dry up completely compared so another natural with thinner or shorter natural hair. To preserve your curls overnight, gather your curls on the top of your head and secure with a loose scrunchie, pineapple style.
